HOW IT WORKS

From scraping to publishing — here's how we turn 18,000+ Reddit posts a month into clear, honest reviews.

01

WE SCRAPE REDDIT COMMUNITIES

Daily crawls across r/boardgames, r/boardgamesgeek, and dozens of game-specific subreddits. Every thread, every comment, every rant.

02

WE ANALYSE THOUSANDS OF POSTS

We aggregate the threads to extract themes, sentiment, and the mechanics players keep talking about. Praise that comes up once is noise; praise that comes up 200 times is signal.

03

SENTIMENT SCORING PER GAME

Each game gets a 1–10 score based on aggregated sentiment weighted by comment volume and recency. Old hot takes count less than current discussion.

04

EDITORS REVIEW AND PUBLISH

Our editors review the analysis, add the nuance that surface-level scanning misses, and write the final review. Nothing publishes without an editor's eyes on it.

05

COMMUNITY VOTES AND COMMENTS

Registered players can rate published reviews and add their own takes. That feedback feeds back into the next refresh of the score.
